The law relating to same sex couples changed radically following the introduction of the Civil Partnership Act on the 5th December 2005.
The Act now provides a mechanism for same sex couples to register the formation of a civil partnership which, if the relationship subsequently breaks down, enables the courts to exercise similar powers in relation to finance and children as would be available on divorce.
We consider this to be a significant step forward, and have a team of highly qualified and professional solicitors and legal executives who can help and guide you through this process.
