Rachel Neems

Key Work:

Rachel has been practising corporate law since 1999 concentrating on acting for owner managed businesses both regionally and nationally - she has been with Keeble Hawson since 2006.

Areas of expertise include mergers and acquisitions, company share structures, venture capital investments, joint ventures, transfers of intellectual property and negotiating commercial contracts.

Rachel also has particular expertise in acting for franchisees and franchisors - Keeble Hawson is an affiliated Professional Advisor of the British Franchise Association (BFA). Rachel has also acted as company secretary for numerous companies and charities.

Rachel's approach to a transaction, whether it's a multi-million pound disposal, or a relatively small investment, is always insightful, commercial and practical.

Background:

Rachel started her working life as a research scientist having obtained a First Class degree in Zoology followed by a PhD in Evolutionary Genetics at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne.

After eight years as a post-doctoral fellow Rachel then, after further study, became a solicitor, initially specialising in intellectual property law. Rachel has maintained a keen interest in the biosciences and has been involved in numerous transactions involving the transfer of intellectual property rights.

Married with one young son Rachel spends much of her free time on (or in) the water whether it be sailing, power boating, fishing, body boarding or water skiing, off the coast of Anglesey.
