Trainee Solicitors

Keeble Hawson usually recruits three Trainee Solicitors each year, one each for our Sheffield, Leeds and Doncaster offices.

Training Contracts are for a minimum period of two years and as a rule the Trainee will remain at the office to which they have been allocated for the whole of their Training Contract. Competition for training contracts is fierce and we seek individuals who stand out. KH Trainees are bright, motivated, enthusiastic and relish working as part of a team. We look for candidates who will develop with the firm after they qualify. Keeble Hawson will accept applications from law and non-law graduates and final year undergraduates, who have at least (or are predicted to achieve) a 2:1 first degree and have either completed their LPC, or have a guaranteed place on such a course. All applicants will be carefully considered regardless of race, colour, nationality, ethnic or national origins, sex, marital status, sexual orientation, disability, religion or age. Sally O'Brien a Partner in the Injury Department is our Training Principal.

Procedure

Applicants should carefully complete the application form and the equal opportunities form, accessed by the link below, and return hard or emailed copies to Jan Reynolds, HR Manager, to arrive no later than the end of July of each year. Tell us what makes you unique and why you want to forge a career with our firm.

The recruitment process will commence in August with a short listing of candidates for interview and first interviews take place in September/October, two years before the proposed commencement date of the Training Contract. (Applications in 2010 are for the contracts to commence September 2012)
